  • Will sawmills buy trees and logs?

    • Standing timber must be approximately 16 inches in diameter to qualify to be purchased.
    • Trunk or log segments must be a minimum of 8 feet 6 inches in length and at least 12 inches in diameter. This is the minimum measurements needed to be able to process the material in our sawmill.
  • What do sawmills pay for logs?

    • Purchase prices are based on current market value. Currently, Walnut is considered the most desireable. Final total is based on types and quantity of each included in the proposed agreement.
  • What are your business hours?

    • Fischer Sawmill hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm

  • Do you provide residential tree services?
    • We do not currently offer residential tree services. We prefer a minimum of approximately 20 trees however special consideration is given for high demand trees such as Walnut.
  • Can custom orders be placed at sawmills?
    • Grade, non-grade, industrial, blocking, rough sewn, planed and pallet orders can be placed and are able to be fully customized to order.
    • Other custom orders are welcome however all orders are subject to what lumber available at that time.
    • Custom cut live edge slabs can also be requested
